Street Art
In the light of day, the working environment of the factories is swallowed up by the colorful walls, but when night falls and there is no-one around, the night artists come out of their hiding places, looking for another free piece of wall to express themselves on. The darkness blurs the faces of the brave, and workshop doors become immense canvases. We will tour the laneways and shadows and shed light on the most up-to-date works. And if we’re lucky, we might even meet some of the street artists in action.
- The tour ends in the center of the Florentine neighborhood, which is full of restaurants, cafes and bars, which fill up with customers into the night.
- There is a street art workshop available immediately after the tour, which can serve as a way for a group to sum up the tour in the context of Israeli street art and graffiti.
Tel Aviv Art
Tel Aviv by day is not Tel Aviv by night – at night, the Art Tour takes on a different kind of magic.
We will see how the city’s streets transition from being urban spaces to architectural art exhibits. Using well-designed lighting, the shadow-play creates a dramatic atmosphere on the buildings, streets and sculptures. And in the background, the fast pace of life of passers-by switching their day clothes and business suits for their evening finery, in order to go out and savor the vibrant night-life.
- For those wishing to experience the city into the night, the tour ends at Ibn Gvirol St., which is full of restaurants, bars and cafes.
- An art workshop can be added at the end of the tour, which can serve as a way for a group to sum up the tour of Israeli art and culture in Tel Aviv.
